SIRASIR GEM & LAPIDARY ACADEMY
Curriculum and assessment
Four independent study paths, 44 expanded written modules, 132 short-answer checks and 24 study weeks per path.
The written edition supplies original explanations, worked examples, worksheets and answer rationales. It is a foundation for supervised study, not a complete accredited professional qualification or a substitute for a practical laboratory course.

How to study
- Read the module and explain its three learning outcomes.
- Complete the worked example and short-answer checks before revealing answers.
- Complete the worksheet using a known teaching specimen or clearly labeled supplied data.
- Arrange qualified supervision for instruments and machinery.
- Revise your portfolio after instructor feedback.
Suggested WantaGems review rubric
The following weights are local design choices, not an external institution’s grading standard.
| Criterion | Weight | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Traceability | 20% | IDs, source of data, condition and complete records |
| Technique and safety | 25% | Suitable methods and supervised practical evidence |
| Reasoning | 25% | Evidence-based interpretation, alternatives and limits |
| Communication | 20% | Clear description, disclosure and appropriate referral |
| Reflection | 10% | Corrections explained and feedback incorporated |
Suggested local review target: 80/100 overall, with every safety-critical issue corrected. This is a WantaGems study rubric, not an international qualification or external examination standard.
